BEBRYCE

ΒΕΒΡΥΚΗ

One of the Danaids, whom Apollodorus (ii. 1. § 5) calls Bryce, and from whom the Bebryces in Bithynia were believed to have derived their name. (Eustath. ad Dionys. Perieg. 805.) Others however derived the Bebryces from a hero, Bebryx. (Steph. Byz. s. v. Bebrukôn).
