CYRNUS

ΚΥΡΝΟΣ

Two mythical personages, from the one of whom the island of Cyrnus or Cyrne (Corsica) derived its name (Serv. ad Virg. Eclog. ix. 30; Herod. i. 167), and the other was regarded as the founder of Cyrnus, a town in Caria. (Diod. v. 60.)
