ΓΕΝΗΤΑΙΟΣ

A surname of Zeus, which he derived from Cape Genetus on the Euxine, where he was worshipped as Euxeinos, i. e. "the hospitable," and where he had a sanctuary. (Apollon. Rhod. ii. 378, 1009; Val. Flacc. v. 148; Strab. xii. p. 548.)
